Steps for Cooking Spicy Grilled Yellow Croaker
Prepare all the ingredients needed.
Make several cuts on both sides of each yellow croaker to allow the seasonings to penetrate better.
Put scallion, chili pepper, cooking wine, soy sauce, and five spice powder into a container with the fish. Mix well and marinate for about 3-4 hours in the refrigerator, covered with plastic wrap.
Remove the scallion and chili pepper from the fish and skewer each fish with a bamboo stick.
Place the fish on the top rack of the oven, preheated to 200 degrees Celsius, and grill for 12 minutes. Flip the fish over and grill for another 12 minutes.
Prepare the seasoning sauce.
Brush the seasoning sauce on both sides of the fish and grill for another 5 minutes on each side.
