Cooking Steps for Afternoon Delight & Snack “Carrot Chips”
Prepare 4 carrots, wash off the dirt (Note: I was born in the 80s and remember that the carrots we ate as children would only wilt if left for a long time, unlike the shiny carrots nowadays that would rot after a few days. So, I insist on buying carrots with soil on them that don’t look good.)
Fill a milk pot with water, add carrot slices cut to the thickness of a coin, sugar cubes, and make sure the water covers the carrot slices
Cook over medium heat until the water is absorbed by the carrots. Since I am making this for a 3-year-old, the taste will be slightly sweet, not as crispy as potato chips, but with a chewy texture similar to cranberries, very resilient
Remove from the pot and drain the water
Line a baking tray with absorbent paper, filling it perfectly
Bake at 130 degrees Celsius for 60 minutes on the middle rack
Let cool and they are ready to eat
