Detailed Steps for Cooking Beautiful Leftovers: Cherry-Soaked Baguette
Wash the cherries, any regular white wine will do.
Cut the cherries open and remove the pits.
Cook the cherries in water, once boiling, add sugar and then about 2 tablespoons of white wine.
Bring to a boil again, then turn off the heat; let it cool slightly, transfer to a covered container and refrigerate overnight.
Cut the baguette into 2cm thick slices. Pour the cherry juice over the baguette, allowing it to soak up the liquid, then top with a few cherry pieces.
