Prepare the ingredients and quantities.
Use a ceramic knife to peel the pear. The pear surface will not oxidize from peeling until steaming compared to using a regular knife.
Cut the pear in half from the top one-third.
Carefully remove the pear core with a ceramic knife.
Place rock sugar and wolfberries in the pear cavity.
Place the top part of the pear back onto the pear and secure with a toothpick.
Place the pear in a small pot with water (adding a tripod can prevent the bowl from touching the bottom of the pot).
