Detailed Steps for Cooking Bird’s Nest with Rock Sugar
Prepare a bowl of bird’s nest, weigh it and it should be 6.4 grams. Bird’s nest is divided into cup bowl, ov bowl and triangle bowl, among which the triangle bowl has the highest cost performance and can be used for daily nourishment.
Soak the bird’s nest in purified water for 4 hours (it is better to use purified water or water purified by a purifier, as tap water affects soaking), and weigh it after soaking, which is about 50.3 grams, a soaking rate of about 8 times, which is good. The normal soaking rate of bird’s nest is 6-8 times.
Tear the soaked bird’s nest into thin strips, and the finer the better for cleaning.
Rinse the torn bird’s nest under the tap and wash it in a sieve. Repeat this process 2-3 times, and then use tweezers to remove the small hairs that cannot be washed away.
Then put the cleaned bird’s nest into a stewing pot. For 6.4 grams of dry bird’s nest, I added about 240 milliliters of purified water, and then started stewing. The stewing time is generally 30 minutes (the stewing time needs to be based on your own electric stewing pot).
After the bird’s nest is stewed, pour it into a bowl. 6.4 grams of dry bird’s nest stewed into a full bowl, and normally 3-5 grams of dry bird’s nest per person per day is sufficient.
Divide the bird’s nest into two portions, then add rock sugar and stir while hot, and then add your favorite fruits and seasonings, such as bananas, mangoes, and milk. Enjoy!
