Steps to Make Black Sticky Rice Cake
Prepare the ingredients.
Add granulated sugar to the glutinous rice flour and mix well.
Add water and gently stir with chopsticks to form a batter.
Add cooking oil and mix until the glutinous rice batter and oil are well combined.
Steam over high heat for 20 minutes in a pot with water.
While steaming, microwave some glutinous rice flour to use as hand powder when wrapping the cakes.
Take out the steamed glutinous rice batter and stir well with chopsticks.
Sprinkle some microwaved glutinous rice flour on the cutting board, pour out the batter, knead until smooth and not sticky.
Divide into several portions, roll into round pieces, and wrap with mung bean paste.
Pinch and roll into a round shape, sprinkle with a little cooked glutinous rice flour, and serve on a plate.
