Detailed Steps for Braised Pork Rice
Soak the pork ribs in water for an hour to remove blood.
Blanch the pork ribs to remove the blood clots. Remove the foam. Boil in cold water with cinnamon, star anise, bay leaves, and appropriate amount of salt for 20 minutes after the water boils.
Remove the cooked pork ribs. The pork ribs do not need to be cooked too soft because they will be cooked with rice in a pressure cooker. Add three tablespoons of dark soy sauce for color. I cooked the pork ribs the night before and prepared them for breakfast the next day.
