Detailed Steps to Make Brown Sugar Pearl Milk Tea
Prepare the ingredients: Fresh milk, cold water, black tea bag, white sugar, brown sugar pearls; Milk tea machine; Brown sugar syrup is made by simmering an appropriate amount of brown sugar and cold water until thick, then cool before using.
Place the black tea bag in a tea strainer and tighten the lid.
Pour equal amounts of fresh milk and cold water into the cup; avoid using all milk as it may overpower the tea flavor.
Secure the tea strainer with the lid, power on, select the “milk tea” program, and after 3 seconds, the program will start automatically.
The milk tea program takes 25 minutes, and the milk gradually changes from white to tea color, getting closer to the color of milk tea.
When there are 5 to 6 minutes left, add a little white sugar and brown sugar pearls through the lid opening into the milk tea; you can buy ready-made brown sugar pearls or make them with tapioca starch in boiling brown sugar water; to quickly cook the pearls, boil them all and freeze for later use, thaw before using.
Prepare a glass cup of your choice and drizzle some brown sugar syrup on the inner wall of the cup.
Pour the milk tea into the cup; note that the higher the temperature of the milk tea, the easier the brown sugar syrup will melt; to make the syrup hang on the cup longer, chill the cup in the refrigerator for a while to harden the syrup, lowering the milk tea temperature to slow down the melting process.
Finally, scoop out the pearls at the bottom of the milk tea machine and add them to the milk tea cup; if you can create some milk foam, your milk tea will have a more “commercial” look.
