Detailed Steps for Making Brown Wheat Egg Pancake
Breakfast doesn’t have to be rushed. Here’s a simple pancake roll recipe that can be very versatile. I used brown wheat flour, so the color is a bit brownish. If you don’t like brown wheat, you can use regular white flour or mix in some coarse grain flour that you like. You can also roll up your favorite fillings in the finished product, similar to the way jianbing is made.
Add water gradually.
Stir into a slightly thicker batter that can still flow.
Brush a small amount of vegetable oil in the pan.
Pour in the batter, spread it out with a spatula.
When the batter is about to set completely, crack a whole egg on top and spread it evenly with a spatula.
When the egg mixture is almost set, sprinkle a layer of black sesame seeds, flip it over and fry for about ten seconds.
Remove the cooked pancake from the pan, and you can continue to fry another one.
Squeeze some tomato sauce on top.
Spread it evenly. You can also add lettuce, fried dough sticks, pickled vegetables, etc., here.
Roll it up from one end.
Cut and enjoy!
