Detailed Steps for Cooking Chicken Chop Rice
When buying, choose fresher chicken breast. Generally, two pieces per person per meal are enough unless you have a huge appetite. Clean them thoroughly.
Cut each chicken breast in half and carefully make cross cuts on the inside layer. Be careful not to cut through. This is done to make it easier for the marinade to penetrate and for easier cooking.
You can use any marinade for chicken wings. I had this packet for a long time and didn’t want it to go to waste, so I decided to try something different.
Add the marinade, a little light soy sauce, cooking wine, and black pepper.
Wear gloves and carefully coat the chicken evenly. Marinate for at least an hour or more. For office workers, marinating the night before is also an option if you’re worried about time the next day.
Sauce: 1 tablespoon cooking wine, 1 tablespoon soy sauce, black pepper, 1 tablespoon of marinade, mix well with a little water, chicken powder, stir with chopsticks.
Heat a little oil in a pan, add the marinated chicken breast.
When frying, carefully flip with a spatula to prevent sticking. Make sure to observe both sides and flip when one side is cooked before cooking the other side.
When both sides are cooked, add the pre-made sauce, simmer for about three minutes until thickened.
Put a portion of rice in a bowl.
Take the cooked chicken breast out of the pan and cut it into even strips.
Arrange the sliced chicken breast on top of the rice, drizzle with a spoonful of sauce, sprinkle with some white sesame seeds, and add some vegetables for decoration.
