Detailed Steps to Cook Chinese Preserved Meat Rice
Soak a bowl (small rice bowl) of rice in water for an hour
Wash off the oil stains from the surface of the Chinese cured pork, Chinese sausage, and Chinese cured duck leg
Cut all the Chinese preserved meats into pieces, soak them in warm water and set aside
Add boiling water to the rice, about 1.5 cm above the rice, steam for fifteen minutes
After laying all the Chinese preserved meats on top of the rice, continue steaming for another 25 minutes
Mix the seasonings, microwave for 10 seconds to dissolve the sugar and chicken bouillon, then add a little hot oil, set aside
Wash and cut the Chinese cabbage, cook it in the water used to soak the Chinese preserved meats (don’t discard this soup, it can be a side soup for the rice)
