Ingredients:
3 cups white rice; 1 cup glutinous rice; 1 homemade Chinese waxed sausage; 1 homemade Chinese waxed pork; 10 dried shiitake mushrooms; 1 Chinese turnip; 1 rice bowl of green peas.
Seasonings:
3 green onions; 2 tablespoons oyster sauce; 2 tablespoons soy sauce; 2 teaspoons sugar; 2 tablespoons oil.

Steps to cook Chinese Waxed Meat Rice
Chinese turnip is called “caigua” in Kaiping, Guangdong.
Peel and dice the Chinese turnip.
Soak the dried shiitake mushrooms in water until soft.
Dice the Chinese waxed sausage, Chinese waxed pork, and shiitake mushrooms. (For the recipe of Chinese waxed sausage and Chinese waxed pork, please refer to my recipes “Guangdong-style Chinese Waxed Sausage” and “Guangdong-style Chinese Waxed Pork”.)
Rinse the green peas.
Chop the green onions.
Wash the rice and cook it.
After the rice is cooked, loosen it and set it aside.
Heat the oil in a wok, stir-fry the shiitake mushrooms, Chinese waxed sausage, and Chinese waxed pork until fragrant.
Add the diced Chinese turnip and green peas and stir-fry until well mixed.
Add oyster sauce, sugar, and a little water and stir-fry until the Chinese turnip is cooked and the water is gone.
Add the chopped green onions and stir-fry until well mixed.
Add the stir-fried ingredients to the rice and mix well.
Add 2 tablespoons of soy sauce and mix well. (Adjust the seasoning according to personal taste.)
This fragrant Chinese Waxed Meat Rice can be eaten without any other dishes.
