Step-by-step Cooking Instructions for Chocolate Cherry Cake
Ingredients: 4 eggs.
60g vegetable oil.
Granulated Sugar A: 20g.
Granulated Sugar B: 80g.
75g water.
80g cake flour.
20g cocoa powder.
1/4 tsp baking soda.
A pinch of salt.
2 drops of lemon juice.
Method: Heat 75g of water to 65 degrees.
Add Granulated Sugar A and stir until dissolved.
Pour the melted mixture into the vegetable oil and mix well.
Sift cocoa powder and baking soda together.
Then add the cocoa powder to the vegetable oil.
Mix well.
Separate egg whites and yolks.
Pour cake flour into the cocoa powder mixture and stir.
Add egg yolks in two batches, 2 yolks each time, and mix well.
Cover with a clean damp cloth to prevent drying.
Now start beating the egg whites, pour into a bowl, add a pinch of salt and 2 drops of lemon juice.
Add sugar in three batches, beat until stiff peaks form.
Take one-third of the egg whites and fold into the batter.
Then fold in the remaining egg whites.
Pour the batter into an 8-inch cake pan.
Lift the pan and tap it three times to remove excess air bubbles.
Preheat the oven to 180 degrees, then place the batter in the oven and bake for 35 minutes.
Test the cake with a toothpick after baking; if it comes out clean, it’s done. Invert the cake onto a rack to cool.
Once the cake has cooled, remove it from the pan.
Place the cake on a clean board and use a knife to slice it in half horizontally.
Once the heavy cream is whipped, add a little chocolate sauce.
Take one cake layer, spread the cream evenly.
Place black cherries on top of the cream, sprinkle with cherry liqueur.
Place the two cake layers together on a cake turntable, and cover with cream.
Spread cream on the sides as well.
Sprinkle chocolate shavings on the cake.
Fill a piping bag with whipped cream, attach a piping tip, and pipe cream onto the cake.
Finally, place red cherries on the cream, and two chocolate cookies in the center, and the cake is ready!
