Step-by-Step Guide to Making Cordyceps Flower Chicken Soup
Prepare the ingredients.
Cut the black-bone chicken into pieces, blanch in water to remove impurities.
Soak the Cordyceps flower and goji berries in water.
Pour 8 bowls of water into a clay pot. Add ginger slices around the pot when it starts to boil.
Once boiling, add the blanched chicken pieces, then add the Cordyceps flower slices and goji berries. Cover with a lid, simmer on low heat for an hour.
Add some salt, red dates, and simmer for another 15 minutes. Turn off the heat, and it’s ready to be served.
Fun fact: Cordyceps flower and Cordyceps are the same thing. Canadians call it Cordyceps, but since it originated in the United States, Americans like to call it Cordyceps flower.
