Detailed Steps for Making Creative Cookie – Cute Lazy Egg
Prepare ingredients: Low-gluten flour: 125g, Unsalted butter: 50g, Powdered sugar: 30g, Whole egg liquid: 20g, Food coloring: a little, White chocolate: one piece.
Soften the butter at room temperature, then add powdered sugar.
Whisk until fluffy with an egg beater.
Add the beaten whole egg liquid in three portions, whisk until the egg liquid is evenly absorbed.
Sift low-gluten flour into the mixture that has been whisked, and knead into a dough.
Add a little yellow food coloring, knead again.
Wrap the dough in plastic wrap, refrigerate for 10 minutes.
Take out the chilled dough, divide it evenly according to your preference, and shape each portion based on the size of the lazy egg you want to make. Now take one portion and start shaping the lazy egg. First, set aside a small portion to make the arms of the lazy egg. Shape the rest into a round body.
After rounding, gently roll it into a cone shape with one end larger than the other. Use a knife to cut a small opening at the smaller end to create the two legs of the lazy egg, then round them with your hands.
Lift the lazy egg and lightly press a vertical line between the two legs with a toothpick.
Then lightly press a horizontal line at the base of the legs. You can see, the chubby butt of the lazy egg is formed. Cute, right? Press the arms reserved earlier under the body of the lazy egg. A lying lazy egg is now complete. You can also use your imagination to create lazy eggs in various poses, such as lying flat or lying on their side.
Preheat the oven to 165 degrees Celsius. Place the lazy eggs on the middle rack.
Bake at 165 degrees Celsius for 33 minutes.
Reduce the temperature to 150 degrees Celsius and bake for another 5 minutes. Watch the color of the cookies to prevent over-browning, cover with foil if necessary. I used the Breville PE5359WT Shuttle Food Thermometer Oven, so adjust the baking time and temperature based on the quantity, size, and oven conditions.
Let the cookies cool after baking, then draw facial features on the lazy eggs. Next, melt the white chocolate in warm water.
Place parchment paper or oilcloth on the work surface. Slowly pour the melted white chocolate and spread it out from the center with a spoon, creating an irregular edge similar to the appearance of egg whites in a pan when frying eggs.
While the white chocolate is still liquid, stick the lazy eggs on it to create a complete lazy egg. Once the white chocolate solidifies and cools, the lazy eggs can be easily removed.
Love to be cute~ Love to be cute~
Even when making cookies, gotta be cute~~~
Had a funny incident today.
I left the finished lazy eggs on the workbench and went to do something else. When my dad saw them, he came to me with a puzzled look and asked, “What dish did you make today? Why are there so many broken eggs on the table?”.
Haha~ He mistook my lazy eggs for fried eggs.
