Detailed Steps for Making Crispy Baked Buns
Dissolve yeast in warm water, then knead the dough with the yeast water and let it rise until the dough triples in size. The image shows the risen dough.
Mix the pork filling with cooked and chopped vermicelli, minced scallions and ginger, salt, thirteen-spice powder, dark soy sauce, and chicken bouillon until well combined.
Knead and deflate the risen dough, then let it rest for about ten minutes.
(Since my dough is quite soft, I skipped rolling it out) Simply take a portion of dough, shape it into a flat disc with your hands, fill it with the filling, and seal it into a bun.
Lightly spray water on the formed buns and let them rise for about 15 minutes to prevent the skin from bursting during baking.
Brush a little more oil on the baking tray and leave space between the buns when placing them.
Preheat the oven for five minutes. Then place the buns in the oven.
Bake at 180 degrees for about 10 minutes, then continue baking at 180 degrees for another 15 minutes.
Once baked, the buns have a crispy exterior and a soft interior.
