Detailed Steps for Cooking Steamed Vermicelli with Garlic Shrimp
Clean the fresh shrimp and trim off the whiskers.
Cut open the back of the shrimp and remove the vein.
After all preparation, marinate the shrimp with a little salt and cooking wine.
Soak the vermicelli in cold water until soft.
Drain the water and spread the vermicelli on the bottom of a plate.
Mince the garlic, chop the red chili and scallion into small pieces.
Heat oil in a cold pan, fry the minced garlic over low heat until fragrant.
Transfer to a bowl, add a tablespoon of soy sauce and cooking wine, mix well.
Arrange the shrimp on top of the vermicelli, then pour the sauce over.
Steam for 3 minutes over boiling water, then let it sit for 1 to 2 minutes.
Sprinkle with chopped scallions before serving. (You can also garnish with a few pieces of minced red chili.)
