Detailed Steps for Cooking Delicious Steamed Pork Ribs with Dried Mushrooms
Soak the pork ribs in water for a while to remove blood, then rinse with clean water.
Prepare the steaming basket, line the bottom with lotus leaves, or you can use bamboo leaves (steamed pork ribs with lotus leaves have a strong lotus fragrance).
Cut the potatoes into strips, cut the dried bamboo shoots into strips similar in size to the potatoes (fresh bamboo shoots can also be used, but dried bamboo shoots are more fragrant), and chop the soaked dried mushrooms.
Add some baking soda to the pork ribs and marinate for about ten minutes (adding baking soda makes the pork ribs more tender).
Rinse the marinated pork ribs with water, add salt, sugar, a little vinegar, oyster sauce, add the chopped dried mushrooms and mix well, then add the bamboo shoots and potatoes, mix well, add peanut oil and MSG, and then add some cornstarch and mix well.
Take the steaming basket, line the bottom with lotus leaves, put all the ingredients in, and steam in a steamer for 15-18 minutes.
While steaming, let’s make the sauce: add soy sauce and water, then add two star anise, ginger and garlic, some sugar, and after boiling, add some MSG and turn off the heat.
Strain the ingredients and set the sauce aside.
After steaming, pour the prepared sauce over the pork ribs (leave some sauce for dipping), and place a plate under the steaming basket to prevent the sauce from flowing out.
Finally, heat up some oil, when it starts to smoke, pour it over the pork ribs.
