Detailed Steps for Making Edamame Mousse Cake
Weigh the Oreo cookie crumbs and set aside.
Melt the unsalted butter using a double boiler.
Combine the melted butter with the Oreo cookie crumbs and mix thoroughly with a spoon.
Line the bottom of the mousse ring with plastic wrap, then spread the mixed cookie crumbs on the bottom of the mousse ring, press firmly with the back of a spoon, and refrigerate for later use.
Cut the gelatin sheets into small pieces, soak in cold water until softened, then melt over hot water while stirring constantly until completely dissolved.
Cook the edamame until tender and peel off the skins.
Pour the cooked edamame and yogurt into a blender, add powdered sugar, and blend into a smooth edamame paste.
Combine the melted gelatin solution with the edamame paste and mix well with a spoon.
Whip the whipping cream with an electric mixer on low speed until 6-7 minutes, then pour the edamame paste mixed with the melted gelatin solution into the whipped cream.
Gently fold the mixture with a spatula until well combined to create the mousse mixture.
Pour the mousse mixture into the mousse ring, gently shake a few times to remove air bubbles, cover with plastic wrap, and refrigerate for at least 4 hours.
Add a little water to the QQ candy.
Heat the QQ candy over a double boiler until completely melted, then let it cool for later use.
Remove the mousse cake from the refrigerator, sift the melted QQ candy over the surface of the mousse cake, then return to the refrigerator for about 30 minutes to set the glaze.
Decorate the mousse cake slightly, and the refreshing Edamame Mousse Cake is ready to serve.
Isn’t it beautiful!
