Detailed Steps for Making Fortune Cookies
After sifting the flour, gradually add the egg mixture while stirring. Mix well without overworking the dough to prevent gluten formation (I forgot to take a photo until after mixing).
Line the baking sheet with aluminum foil or parchment paper, then use a piping bag to squeeze out “8” shapes directly onto the sheet.
Once neatly piped, you can also pipe other shapes. Mine turned out a bit ugly, hehe.
Place in the oven at 165 degrees Celsius for about 15 minutes. Adjust based on your oven as baking times may vary. The cookies should turn slightly golden on the surface, and will be soft when freshly baked but will harden as they cool.
