Detailed Steps for Making French Crispy Bread Slices
Slice the French baguette diagonally into pieces, about 2cm thick.
Mix milk and sugar, melt over low heat, and remove from heat once melted.
After removing from heat, use the residual heat of the milk to melt the butter. When it is warm but not hot, add the heavy cream and mix well to make the sauce. Preheat the oven to 160 degrees Celsius at this point.
Dip the sliced French baguette quickly into the sauce, making sure not to soak it completely. Then place the slices on a baking sheet lined with aluminum foil.
Place in the middle of the oven, bake at 160 degrees Celsius for about 25 minutes, flipping halfway through until golden brown.
Let cool naturally after baking. Enjoy the crispy and sweet taste. With the right baking time and temperature, it’s almost fail-proof.
