Rinse the rice and soak for 30 to 45 minutes, soaking for an hour is even better!
While soaking the rice, prepare the shrimp by trimming the claws and whiskers, and making a slit on the back of the shrimp.
Place the rinsed rice in the clay pot, add a little peanut oil, and mix well.
Pour water into the pot with rice, ensuring the water covers the second joint of your index finger.
Heat over medium heat, and continuously stir with a spoon in the pot to evenly heat the rice.
