Step-by-Step Instructions for Making Fruit Basket Ice Cream Puff
Prepare the ingredients.
Sift low-gluten flour and cocoa powder together.
Beat the eggs and set aside.
Melt the butter with water.
Bring the butter and water to a boil.
After boiling, remove from heat and immediately add the sifted flour mixture.
Mix well to form a cooked dough.
Add the beaten eggs in about three portions, mixing well after each addition (not all the egg mixture may be needed, adjust based on the dough consistency).
The dough should be able to be pulled into large pieces.
Use a ladle to shape a piece of puff pastry into the basket’s belly, use your hand to shape a small piece into the basket handle (wet your hands and ladle slightly to prevent sticking). Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius and bake on the middle rack for 30 minutes.
Once baked and cooled, cut off the top 1/3 of the puff pastry, and prepare the fruits.
Fill the basket belly with ice cream.
