Detailed Steps for Cooking Garlic Cheese Baked Lobster
Rinse the lobster in water.
Make a cut at the joint near the tail and remove the intestine.
Clean out the intestine. (You can also leave it, but the taste may be slightly different.)
Crack open the lobster claws for easier eating and flavor absorption.
Use scissors to cut the back in half, or use a knife. Do whatever is convenient.
The white part is the lobster brain, discard it, and the green part is the roe, keep it.
Clean the lobster thoroughly.
Place the lobster in a baking dish.
Chop the scallions.
Mince the garlic.
Soften the butter and mix with 1 teaspoon of salt until smooth.
Add the minced garlic and freshly ground black pepper. (Freshly ground black pepper is preferred for better flavor.)
Mix well.
Spread the garlic mixture evenly on the lobster.
Sprinkle some scallions.
Place in a preheated oven, bake at 450°F (230°C) for 15 minutes on the middle rack.
Prepare the cheese. (If you only have mozzarella cheese at home, that’s fine, but you can also use cheddar cheese, whichever you prefer.)
After baking for 15 minutes, remove from the oven.
Sprinkle with cheese shreds.
Then sprinkle some more scallions.
Return to the oven and continue baking for 13 minutes. (Baking time may vary depending on your oven and the size of the lobster.)
It’s done, the aroma fills the house!
The meat is tender and succulent, incredibly flavorful.
