Detailed Steps for Cooking Ginseng and Tianqi Chicken Soup
Wash the ginseng and Tianqi, soak them in water overnight, and slice or dice them. (Keep the soaking water.)
Remove the pits from the red dates.
Remove the skin from the chicken and chop it into pieces.
Blanch the chicken pieces, wash off the foam.
Place ginseng, Tianqi, and red dates in a soup pot, add 10 bowls of water, bring to a boil over high heat.
Add the chicken pieces, continue to boil, then simmer over low heat for 2 hours.
Rinse the goji berries.
After the soup is ready, skim off the fat. (Even though the chicken has been skinned, it will still release a lot of oil.)
Add the goji berries and simmer for 5 minutes before serving.
We usually do not add salt to the soup at home.
