Detailed Steps for Making Green Tea Windmill Cookies
All-purpose flour 120g, corn starch 30g, granulated sugar 50g, whole egg 30g, butter 75g, green tea powder 6g.
Soften the butter and mix with sugar until smooth.
Add the egg gradually and mix well.
Sift in the all-purpose flour and corn starch, and knead into a dough.
Take half of the dough and add green tea powder (I used one and a half times the amount of green tea powder to make the dough green, but it didn’t work. I’m not sure if the powder was expired or if I forgot to add food coloring).
Put the two pieces of dough into separate plastic bags, roll them into thin sheets of about 3mm, and refrigerate for about 10 minutes until they become slightly firm.
Overlap the two sheets of dough.
Roll them up and freeze them for about 10 minutes until they become firm.
Cut them into small pieces of 2-3mm.
Bake in a preheated 175-degree oven for about 15 minutes until the bottom turns yellow.
