Prepare the ingredients. Steamed cake can be made with various types of flour, such as glutinous rice flour, high-gluten flour, corn flour, and sticky rice flour.
Divide the flour, glutinous rice flour, yeast, and granulated sugar into three portions. Take one portion of flour and mix it with glutinous rice flour, yeast, and granulated sugar. Then add blueberry juice and knead it into a purple dough.
Mix the other two portions with pumpkin puree and water, respectively, and knead them into two different colored doughs. Put them all in a large bowl, cover it, and let it ferment at room temperature for 30 minutes.
When the dough has risen to about twice its original size, it is ready to be shaped into steamed cakes.
Take a portion of the dough and roll it out thinly on a cutting board.
