Steps to Make Heart-shaped Cake Roll
Mix milk, corn oil, and 30g sugar together.
Sift in all-purpose flour and red food coloring.
Mix well.
Add egg yolks, and put egg whites in a separate oil-free and water-free container.
Mix well.
Add 50g sugar to egg whites and beat until moist foam forms.
Take one-third of egg whites and mix with the batter.
Mix well and pour the mixture into the remaining egg whites. Mix well.
Pour one-third of the batter into a small non-stick baking pan and knock out the air. Preheat the oven to 175°C and bake for 20 minutes.
Pour the remaining batter into a greased baking pan, smooth it out, and knock out the air. After the small pan is baked, bake this pan as well.
While the cake is baking, make the purple sweet potato puree. Steam the sliced purple sweet potato until soft, mash it, and add some whipping cream.
Beat well with an egg beater.
After the small cakes are baked, use a heart-shaped cookie cutter to cut out the cake slices.
Set aside the cake slices.
After the large cake is baked, remove it from the pan, turn it over, remove the parchment paper, and let it cool.
Spread the purple sweet potato puree on the cooled cake, place the heart-shaped cake slices one by one on one-third of the cake, and then roll it up.
Wrap it in plastic wrap and refrigerate for several hours to set.
After it is set, take it out and cut it into pieces to serve!
