Detailed steps for cooking Heile Sandpot Roasted Sweet Potatoes
Wipe the Heile Sandpot dry with a wrung-out wet towel and set aside.
Place the small grill rack (I didn’t have a suitable one at home, so I made a temporary one out of thick wire).
Cross the tin foil (matte side up) on the grill rack, with the edges extending a little outside the pot to prevent the sweet potato juice from flowing into the pot.
Wash the sweet potatoes and dry them, then place them in the pot.
Cover the pot, turn up the heat, and roast for 20 minutes.
After 20 minutes, turn the sweet potatoes over with chopsticks.
Continue to roast over high heat for 20 minutes.
After the time is up, don’t rush to lift the lid, use the preheating in the pot to simmer for another 10 minutes.
Pierce the sweet potatoes with chopsticks, and if they go through easily, they’re done! They’re fragrant, sweet, soft, and delicious!
