Homemade Granola Cooking Steps
Weigh all the ingredients and set aside.
Rinse the black currants with warm water and soak in warm water for 2 minutes. This step is based on personal preference as these dried fruits may have small particles; I usually rinse them before use.
Discard the water from the soaked black currants and pat them dry with kitchen paper.
Cut the raw almonds, walnuts, and macadamia nuts into small pieces, and dice the dried mango.
Set aside the brown sugar and flaxseed oil.
Place the plain oats in a bread maker, add flaxseed oil and brown sugar.
Start the bread maker’s stirring function.
Open the bread maker’s lid to release excess moisture.
Add raw walnuts and almonds to the bread maker after stirring for 10 minutes.
Add the soaked black currants and continue stirring for another 10 minutes. If using unwashed black currants or raisins, skip this step.
Once the stirring is done, immediately transfer the oats to a baking tray to cool, lining the bottom with parchment paper.
At this point, add dried cranberries, dried mango, macadamia nuts, and pumpkin seeds.
Mix the added dried fruits thoroughly, let it cool completely, then store in a sealed container. Best consumed within a month.
