Detailed Steps for Making Honey Waffle Cake
Prepare ingredients: 5 eggs, 300g low-gluten flour, 50g butter, 300g fresh milk, 70g powdered sugar, 40g granulated sugar, honey
Sift the low-gluten flour
Separate egg whites and yolks
Add 50g of powdered sugar to egg yolks and stir
Add milk and melted butter to the egg yolk mixture and stir well. The butter may solidify when it cools, so I put it in hot water while stirring.
Add the sifted low-gluten flour to the mixture and stir to make a batter.
Add 20g of powdered sugar to the egg whites and beat with an egg beater until lines appear.
Add 40g of granulated sugar and 2 tablespoons of honey to the egg whites and beat until stiff peaks form.
Add the beaten egg whites to the batter in three parts. The batter will become fragrant at this point.
Brush the pan with oil and preheat for 1-2 minutes. Brush a little more oil than usual and make sure to cover every part of the pan.
Pour the batter into the pan.
After about 2 minutes, check the cake. The cooking time may vary depending on personal preference. If you like it chewy, cook it longer to reduce the moisture. If you prefer it soft, it is done when the cake can be easily removed from the pan.
I made 14 pieces using a 10.5cm*11cm mold. I made extra to give to my friends.
It’s delicious when served hot. I also whipped some cream and put it in the fridge overnight. When I took it out and ate it with the cake, it tasted like ice cream. It’s really delicious!
