Detailed Steps for Cooking Honeycomb Coal Rice Cake (Steamed)
Mix glutinous rice flour, black sesame powder, and bamboo charcoal powder together and sift.
Pour the sifted mixture into milk and knead evenly, then knead again after adding granulated sugar.
Fill the mixture into the honeycomb coal mold, do not press too firmly, flatten the surface after filling.
After boiling water in the steamer, place a damp cloth in the steaming tray, push out the rice cake with the honeycomb coal mold onto the cloth, steam over medium heat for 20-25 minutes, then turn off the heat.
Remove the honeycomb coal mold and place on a plate (can be sliced) before serving.
