Steps to Make Donkey-hide Gelatin Cake
Prepare the ingredients. Roast all the ingredients except for the donkey-hide gelatin and sugar in the oven to bring out their aroma.
The donkey-hide gelatin looks beautiful.
Crush the donkey-hide gelatin and soak it in yellow wine for two days to fully release its medicinal properties. Crush the rock sugar into powder and set aside.
Prepare the donkey-hide gelatin for cooking. Bring it to a boil over high heat, then reduce the heat and add the crushed rock sugar. Stir clockwise until the sugar melts.
Be patient while cooking the donkey-hide gelatin. Keep stirring to prevent it from sticking to the pot.
The donkey-hide gelatin is ready when it reaches the “flag hanging” stage.
Add the other ingredients to the cooked donkey-hide gelatin and stir well.
After stirring well, remove from heat and prepare the mold. Pour the cooked donkey-hide gelatin into the mold and press it down with a rolling pin to make it flat. Let it cool.
Cut the cooled donkey-hide gelatin into slices.
Spread the slices out and let them set.
Seal and store. Don’t eat too much every day, as it can cause internal heat.
