Detailed Steps for Making Jujube Rolls
Mix yeast with flour and water, knead into a dough, place in a bowl, cover with a lid, and wait for the dough to rise. You can also place a bowl of warm water under the bowl to help the dough rise faster. I usually wait for about 40 minutes.
After the dough has risen, sprinkle dry flour on the surface, knead until smooth, and divide into several small doughs.
Roll out the small dough into a thin sheet. Arrange five sheets like this. Also, prepare a small piece of dough, shape it into a cone (let’s call it a “cone seedling”), press the middle of the five dough sheets with a chopstick, place the cone-shaped dough at the bottom sheet, roll from bottom to top, pinch the middle with your hand, and separate into two. You will see that you have made a rose.
That’s it!
For another shape of jujube rolls, knead the small dough into a long strip, place jujubes on both ends.
Wrap the jujubes, three by three.
Use a chopstick to press from the middle towards the inside.
It should look like this.
