Steps for Cooking Korean-style Grilled Squid
Main marinade ingredients;
Put all ingredients except squid into a food processor, including syrup or honey, and blend into a paste, which is the marinade sauce.
Clean the squid, tear off the skin, add all the marinade sauce, and marinate for more than 30 minutes. (The longer the marinating time, the more flavorful it will be. My family couldn’t wait.)
Thread the marinated squid onto bamboo skewers;
Heat a non-stick pan, put in the squid (if the bottom of the pan is thick enough, no oil is needed; if the bottom of the pan is not thick enough, you can add a little oil), and grill over medium-low heat;
After turning over, cut open the squid board with scissors and continue to grill;
After grilling until both sides are set, add an appropriate amount of marinade sauce from the squid and continue to cook until done.
If you don’t need to take pictures for “memories” and don’t care about the appearance, you can also grill it like this – no need to thread the squid onto skewers, just put it directly into the pan;
During the grilling process, cut the squid into bite-sized pieces with scissors;
Add marinade sauce;
Continue to grill until done.
