Detailed Steps for Making Lao Zao Tangyuan
Place glutinous rice flour in a bowl.
Add warm water and knead into dough.
Knead into a dough.
Wash red beans and put them in a rice cooker with some water.
Use the porridge setting.
When cooked, mix in white sugar while hot. (Adjust sugar amount according to personal taste)
Take a small piece of dough.
Flatten it.
Put some red bean paste on top.
Roll into a tangyuan.
Arrange them and set aside (sprinkle some flour to prevent sticking).
Fill a pot with water, add fermented glutinous rice.
Once boiling, add the tangyuan and brown sugar slices.
When the tangyuan float up and are cooked, pour in beaten egg, turn off the heat, and serve sprinkled with black sesame seeds.
