Detailed Steps for Making Little Bee Steamed Buns
Steam and mash the pumpkin slices. Use 170g.
Mix the yellow dough ingredients in a bread maker for 20 minutes until smooth, then let it rise at room temperature until doubled in size.
Form the white dough into a ball and let it rise.
Roll the risen yellow dough into a long strip.
Divide into 10 small pieces.
Shape into ovals to form the bodies of the little bees (this time without filling, but you can add your preferred filling).
Roll out the white dough thinly.
Use a small piping tip to cut out 20 circular pieces.
Roll out into oval shapes with a small rolling pin to make the wings of the bees.
Add bamboo charcoal powder to the remaining dough, knead into black dough.
Roll out thinly, cut into thin strips.
Brush with water and stick three strips onto the body of the bee.
Place the white wings on both sides of the body. Use two red beans for the eyes on the head.
Steam over boiling water on medium heat for about 15 minutes.
After steaming, to prevent shrinkage, slightly lift the lid with a small gap for 3-5 minutes before fully opening and removing.
Melt the chocolate coin over a double boiler.
Dip a toothpick in the melted chocolate and draw the mouth of the little bee.
Isn’t it cute?
