Longan Red Date Stewed Bird’s Nest

Main Ingredients:
Bird’s Nest: 5g; Red Dates: 3 pieces; Longan Pulp: 6 pieces.

Additional Ingredients:
Rock Sugar: 20 pieces; Purified Water: 200ml.

Detailed Steps for Cooking Longan Red Date Stewed Bird’s Nest

Choose bird’s nest cup, bird’s nest strip, or bird’s nest angle according to personal preference, about 5g, I used a cup

Soak in purified water for 3 hours + rehydrate

Change water midway, tear into strips for easier rehydration

Remove feathers and impurities, prepare for rinsing again to filter out impurities

Rinse and filter impurities multiple times using a sieve

Place in a double-lidded stewing cup, add purified water, remove red date pits, add longan pulp, bring to a boil over high heat for 5 minutes, then simmer over low heat, add rock sugar after 10 minutes, stew for another 5 minutes, then turn off the heat.

Pour into small cups, can be enjoyed as is, or with added coconut milk or fruits according to personal preference
