Lotus Leaf Buns Cooking Steps
Finely chop the lotus leaf and place it in a bowl.
Add a little chopped carrot, green pepper, tofu, and vermicelli.
Add chopped green onion, ginger, garlic, and five-spice powder.
Add Sichuan peppercorn oil, fry lightly, and let it cool. Use a bit more oil.
Mix thoroughly to lock in the moisture. The purpose of adding oil is to prevent water from coming out.
Add some chopped chili for a bit of spiciness, skip if you don’t like spicy food. You can also add chili powder.
Add chicken bouillon for flavor enhancement.
Add some salt.
A little sugar.
Some soy sauce.
Mix well. The filling should not release water.
Knead the fermented dough into a smooth dough, then divide it into evenly sized pieces, and roll them into dough pieces with a thick middle and thin edges.
Let them rest for another 5 minutes after wrapping.
