Steps for Cooking Lotus Root with Fruit Jelly
Wash the fresh lotus root and scrape off the skin.
Cut into thin slices.
Blanch the sliced lotus root in boiling water.
Remove the blanched lotus root slices and soak them in cold water.
Mix the fruit jelly and sugar together.
Add water and heat the mixture on low heat until the sugar and fruit jelly dissolve. Turn off the heat and let it cool.
Place the drained lotus root slices in a clean container.
Pour the fruit jelly mixture over the lotus root slices, making sure the water covers the slices. Marinate for at least 2 hours.
