Steps to Cook Marinated Duck Wings with Quail Eggs
Remove any remaining duck feathers from the duck wings, soak in clean water for 10 minutes, wash thoroughly, then cut each wing in half at the joint.
Place the duck wings in a pot of cold water, bring to a boil, then remove and wash them clean; at the same time, cook the quail eggs in another pot, peel them after boiling and set aside.
Place the duck wings, quail eggs, green onions, ginger, and spice mix in the pot.
Add some cold water, light soy sauce, dark soy sauce, and oyster sauce, stir well, cover and bring to a boil over high heat.
Once boiling, add cooking wine and rock sugar, cover the pot, reduce heat to low, and simmer for about 20 minutes.
Adjust salt and MSG according to personal taste.
Turn off the heat, let it simmer for another 2 hours or more to enhance the flavor.
