Mix glutinous rice flour with water to form a dough. Be careful not to add too much water, just a little is enough. If there is too much water, add more glutinous rice flour. The dough is mainly to provide some stickiness to the red bean paste filling. I have seen some homemade peach blossom cakes that also include glutinous rice flour. Place the glutinous rice dough in water, let it float, and then boil for three minutes until it becomes slightly translucent. Once cooked, remove and let it dry completely. Mix the glutinous rice flour with the red bean paste evenly until slightly elastic.
Divide the glutinous rice and red bean paste mixture into several portions. Leave one portion as is, and add food coloring to the others. Use pink for the most part, and green and yellow for the flower center and leaves. This is probably the simplest flower shape. Take a portion of pink, cover it with a portion of white, and cover only one-third of the pink portion with white.
Then flatten it, flip it over, and it can be filled with red bean paste or similar fillings.
After sealing the edges facing downwards, use a toothpick to press out five petals of similar size.
Then shape the petals with your hands.
Finally, shape the flower stamen by pressing some lines, and it’s done.
Then, I used pink and green to make peaches, which is even simpler. Shape the mixture into peach shapes and add a peach leaf.
