Detailed Steps for Making Norwegian Christmas Cookies
Put almonds into a food processor
Grind into powder
Take out butter from the refrigerator to soften naturally, add white sugar and beat with an egg beater
Add egg liquid gradually, stirring well each time, until the egg liquid is completely integrated with the butter before adding the next portion.
Don’t think it’s troublesome, it’s quick to mix well with a little egg liquid each time. Adding too much egg liquid at once will make it difficult to mix.
Mix flour and almond powder, sift into a container.
Mix well with a rubber spatula until no dry powder remains
Put into a plastic bag and knead into a ball by hand
Shape into a long strip, put in the refrigerator to chill overnight, at least 2 hours if time is limited.
Take out the strip, divide into 8 equal parts, each about 22g
Spread a thin layer of butter on the tart mold
Place a small dough ball into the mold
Wear disposable gloves for easy handling, press the dough into the mold
Repeat for all portions
Poke some holes with a small fork to prevent the bottom from puffing up, then place on a baking sheet
Place in a preheated oven at 180 degrees Celsius and bake for about 18 minutes
After baking, let cool on a rack before removing from the mold
