Detailed Steps to Make Oat Chocolate Bars
Oats, whole wheat flour, and dark chocolate are low in calories and can blend well with high-calorie ingredients. Here I only used sunflower seeds because they are small and easy to cut. Raisins are also small in size, but other ingredients can be used as well, preferably cut into small pieces.
Butter, brown sugar, and golden syrup are poured into a pot, heated over low heat, and stirred slowly until completely melted, especially the sugar.
Once melted, you can turn off the heat (it should look like this).
Add oats and a pinch of sea salt (to balance the sweetness of the sugar).
Stir well; at this point, it may still resemble porridge, which is correct. Later, more ingredients will be added, making it thicker.
Continue to add nuts and dried fruits and mix well.
Finally, add baking powder and flour, and be sure to mix well.
Once mixed, preheat the oven to 175 degrees Celsius.
Pour the mixture into a baking pan and flatten it.
Bake for 20-25 minutes, depending on the size of the baking pan. If the pan is large, the mixture will be thin and require less time to bake. If the pan is small, the mixture will be thick and require more time to bake.
While baking, you can start cutting the chocolate into small pieces.
If unsure about the baking time, you can check the color. When it reaches a similar color, it is ready.
Add the chocolate on top.
Brush evenly with a brush.
Place in the refrigerator for a longer period to ensure it is completely chilled.
