Detailed Steps for Cooking Orange Chicken Thighs
Prepare the chicken thighs and oranges.
Remove the bones from the chicken thighs.
Poke a few holes in the skin side of the chicken thighs with a fork.
Cut the oranges in half.
Stir the orange flesh with a fork a few times to release more juice.
Add oyster sauce, soy sauce, salt, green onion, and ginger to the deboned chicken thighs, then squeeze half of the orange juice over them.
Marinate for 20 minutes.
Heat a small amount of oil in a pan, place the marinated chicken thighs skin side down and fry.
Fry until one side is browned, then flip and fry the other side.
Once both sides are golden brown, add the marinating liquid, sugar, and some water to the pan.
Squeeze the other half of the orange juice over the chicken thighs.
