Orange Jam Cooking Steps
1. Peel and remove the white membrane from the oranges (my mom helped me with this, so no process images for this step);
2. Estimate the amount of maltose to pour, the quantity is the difference in weight before and after pouring, adjust according to sweetness preference;
3. Put both ingredients in a pot, bring to a boil over high heat, then simmer over low heat (since the peeled fruit has been in the refrigerator overnight and released some water, it cooks faster without adding water, but if it’s too dry, water may be needed);
4. Cook until the color is dark and the mixture is thick;
5. Sterilize a sealed jar with boiling water, let it cool, then refrigerate;
6. If you can’t finish it all at once, you can freeze it for a longer period. I kept one jar and gave the rest to my good friends.
