Detailed Steps for Cooking Pan-Fried Fish Fillet with a Fusion Twist
Prepare the ingredients: Slice the dried tofu and shiitake mushrooms into 2mm thin slices; if using frozen edamame beans, thaw and drain them; wash and chop the green onions.
Clean and slice the Chao Bai Hei fish purchased from Chan Mao Jian Chan, then heat a pan with a little oil and fry the fish slices over high heat until golden brown. Flip the fish slices once. Once the fish is fried, set it aside.
Start cooking the side dishes. After flipping the fish, add some oil to the pan and stir-fry the prepared ingredients over high heat.
After stir-frying the side dishes for about 3 minutes, add a little salt, then add the edamame beans and pour in 20ml of water. Cook for approximately 3 minutes.
Once the water in the pan has evaporated, add the fried fish slices, reduce heat to medium-low, and then add minced garlic and sweet bean sauce.
Plate and serve. I’m not very good at making Western dishes or plating, so I just went with my instincts. Start by placing the fish slices, then arrange the shiitake mushroom slices and dried tofu, and finally top with the edamame beans.
