Steps to Make Panda Cookies
Prepare ingredients and tools (I used Changdi electric oven CRTF32G and a set of panda molds)
Soften butter and mix with powdered sugar until smooth (I’m a bit lazy, so I used a stand mixer)
Add egg yolks and mix well
Divide the well-mixed butter into two portions, add vanilla to one portion and mix well
Add cocoa powder to the other portion
Sift in 100g of low-gluten flour, knead into a dough (wrap in plastic wrap to prevent drying), let it rest for 15 minutes
Roll out the cocoa dough to a thickness of 0.3cm
Use the black base mold of the panda mold to imprint the panda shape. Place a piece of parchment paper on a baking sheet and place the imprinted dough on it
Then roll out the vanilla dough to a thickness of 0.3cm, use the white mold to imprint the face shape
Use the mold to imprint the panda’s facial expression and body parts, then remove the eye part of the face
Brush a layer of egg white on each panda (egg white acts as a glue)
Assemble
Once assembled, place in the middle of the oven, top and bottom heat, 180 degrees, for about 18 minutes
Take out of the oven, and they’re ready to enjoy!
