Detailed Steps for Cooking Peach Gum and Snow Lotus Seed Sweet Soup
Soak the snow lotus seed, peach gum, and bird’s nest for 12 hours (the bird’s nest and peach gum will expand after soaking, so be careful not to add too much. The amount listed here is for one serving).
After soaking, rinse them thoroughly, especially the peach gum, which may have impurities (mostly peach tree bark) stuck to it. Then add water, boil the peach gum, bird’s nest, and snow lotus seed for fifteen minutes, then add goji berries and red dates and boil for another six to seven minutes. Finally, add sugar to taste.
