Steps to Make Pearl Milk Tea
Cook the pearls the night before, with a ratio of pearls to water greater than 1:10. Soak in sugar water in a sealed bag overnight. The amount of sugar can vary according to personal preference, but is generally equal to the amount of pearls.
The next day, brew red tea, strain out the tea leaves, mix in milk powder, and add condensed milk. Condensed milk can enhance the flavor, but can be omitted if desired.
Finally, mix the pearls with the milk tea, and it’s ready to serve. However, this recipe is more suitable for warmer regions in the south… In the colder north, the pearls may harden if soaked overnight!!! For those who don’t want to eat hard pearls, please read on patiently.
